Jose has been raptured

We go almost every Wednesday to Jose’s Mexican Food.  Kids eat free on Wednesdays, so that means the four of us can eat for $8.  Not a shabby deal.

Went this evening for our weekly treat and lo and behold…Jose’s was GONE.

Now, we were there just last Wednesday.  It’s not like we haven’t been there for awhile.  Or like the people there didn’t know us well enough to talk to us about the restaurant’s immediate future (sheesh, they’ve even got our orders memorized…bean, rice, and cheese burritos).

This Wednesday, we drive up, and it’s empty.  The parking lot is empty, the windows are empty, the doors are shut and locked, the sign has been pried off the wall, the chairs and tables are gone.  And there are no signs anywhere.

We’ve been eating there for almost four years, they could at least leave a sign!

Called their number.  Yep, ‘this number has been disconnected’.

We were shocked, horrified, and terribly disappointed.  What are we ever going to do now?  And why on earth did they close?

The biggest question, though, is, if Jose’s has been raptured, why didn’t Cheesecake Factory get to go, too?
